A Kannapolis Holiday Tradition
Every year the City of Kannapolis turns Village Park into one of the best holiday light displays in Cabarrus County. Thousands of lights, the Winterland Express train counting down the 12 Days of Christmas, the Italian carousel, visits with Santa and the Kannapolis Singing Bears. Admission to the park and the lights is free.
The season kicks off with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 13, followed by fireworks. From there, the lights stay on nightly through December 30.
Our Sponsorship: The Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra
This year we are sponsoring the Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra in the Village Park Multi-Purpose Room.
It is a fitting spot for a heating company. The Multi-Purpose Room is the one place in the park where you can come inside and get warm quickly. Late November and December evenings in Kannapolis can drop into the 30s fast, and anyone who has walked the light displays with small kids knows the moment when little hands get cold and everybody needs a break.
So come in, warm up, enjoy the orchestra, and head back out to the lights when you are ready. We cannot think of a better way for an HVAC company to spend the holidays than keeping a room full of our neighbors warm.
Our whole business is keeping people comfortable when the weather turns. Sponsoring the one warm room in the park just made sense.
The Gift of Warmth: A New HVAC System for a Local Family
In addition to the sponsorship, we are partnering with the City of Kannapolis to give one local family the Gift of Warmth: a brand-new heating and air system, installed free, up to a $10,000 value.
Anyone can nominate a family, including their own. Entries must be received by December 22, and one family will be drawn at random with the City on December 23, just in time for Christmas. Full details and the entry form are on the Gift of Warmth nomination page.
Staying Warm at Home This Winter
The cold nights that make the Multi-Purpose Room so popular are the same nights that expose a struggling furnace or heat pump at home. If your system is short cycling, blowing lukewarm air or making new noises, call our Kannapolis office before the coldest weeks arrive. Our guide to preparing your home for heating season covers what to check first, and our team handles furnace repair and heat pump repair for homes and businesses across the area.
